Marco's Challenge

A fellow artist at our gallery posted a picture as a challenge for us to interpret in whatever way, whatever medium we choose.  Nothing like a challenge to spark my interest!!

The image is that of a very plain, clear glass bowl of fruit sitting on what appears to be equally plain, colorless cardboard boxes.  My first reaction was that it was cold... I wanted to grab a pencil, a crayon, marker, anything and okay, lets put some "humph" into this picture!  Good one Marco.

"Fruits ... like having their portrait painted. They seem to sit there and ask your forgiveness for fading. Their thought is given off with their perfumes. They come with all their scents, they speak of the fields they have left, the rain which has nourished them, the daybreaks they have seen."
Paul Cezanne
